Looking at all the dials and buttons on your camera can be quite intimidating, at it only gets worse when you find your way into the menu system. A modern camera is a computer with lots of software and options available, and understanding it all can seem like an overwhelming task.
Good news is that many of the fundamentals remain the same, and have been the same since the invention of the camera. Of course modern technology has given many new options (e.g. video), but the basic control of how much light the camera takes in and what settings it uses doing so is an evergreen.
